Benjie Saunders started doing comedy in Richmond, VA within a year or two of me. Immediately he was one of the most friendly faces in the scene; an easy favorite person to talk to in the back of the room during an open mic. His duck dynasty beard and love a Big Foot only stand to make him more endearing. Unfortunately I havn’t kept in touch with him since leaving Virginia.
Benjie recently reached out, just to say he had thought of me, and missed seeing me around. The feeling would be mutual under any circumstances, but given quarantine conditions with the pandemic, I felt extra touched.
In my perfect world, we would get to see our friends more regularly, and Benjie would be best friends with Big Foot.
